Since 1997 the Ueberleben - Foundation for Victims of Torture
has been supporting and campaigning for:
- victims of extreme traumatization, including their family members and relatives, through medical, psychotherapeutic and social care and treatment.
- rehabilitation and integration of persons who have been oppressed for political, ethnic or religious reasons, through imprisonment, torture or other forms of human rights violations.
- project development and support in the areas of torture and trauma.
- scientific research and documentation in the area of post-traumatic disorders that result from war and torture.
- raising public awareness about the causes and effects of violence among people.
