Virtual Trauma Center

Many citizens of Iraq have experienced deeply traumatic events: such as warfare, terrorist attacks, arbitrary detention or torture. While bzfo offers face-to-face therapy and rehabilitation programs in several cities of North Iraq, the majority of traumatized victims from Iraq are unable to reach us in person.

The Virtual Trauma Center offers free online psychotherapy for adults from Iraq and the wider Middle East who suffer from post-traumatic stress. Dozens of individuals have successfully participated in this therapeutic program.

Who can participate

  • You are eligible for online treatment if you …
  • are above the age of 18
  • can read Arabic and write texts in Arabic
  • experienced a traumatic event at least one month ago and still suffer from this experience
  • have regular access to the Internet and an email account
  • are not currently in psychotherapeutic treatment or on psychoactive medication

Treatment is free of charge, strictly confidential, and carried out by an international team of professional psychologists who adhere to scientific protocols.
